The iWork Intelligent Assistant brings AI-powered help directly into Apple’s three core productivity apps, giving users tools to draft, edit, build, and visualize content using natural language.
iWork Intelligent Assistant in Numbers
In Numbers, the iWork Intelligent Assistant can build formulas and visualize data. It also helps generate formulas with natural language and can generate tables. This makes it easier for users who want to work with spreadsheets without memorizing complex formula syntax.
iWork Intelligent Assistant in Pages
The Pages version of the iWork Intelligent Assistant can start a first draft. Apple says it can “edit, organize, and elevate your writing.” It can draft sections, adjust tone, and generate images or shapes using natural language.
Writers can use it to move past a blank page, reshape existing text, or produce supporting visuals without leaving the document.
iWork Intelligent Assistant in Keynote
With Keynote, the iWork Intelligent Assistant can help build and refine slides. It can add animations, create presenter notes, and generate images and shapes. Presenters who want to polish a deck quickly can lean on the assistant for layout suggestions and speaker preparation.
Shared Features Across All Three Apps
For all three apps, the iWork Intelligent Assistant can search for information on a topic on the web and then add it to a document. Apple says the assistant can also walk users through using advanced features or make suggestions on what to try.
These shared capabilities mean the assistant works as both a creation tool and a learning aid, helping users discover features they may not have tried before.
Creator Studio Subscribers Get More
Along with the iWork Intelligent Assistant, Creator Studio subscribers also have access to new templates and themes. They can also find curated videos in the Content Hub.
For all users, the apps include bug fixes and performance improvements. Keynote also has an Interchange Format for importing and exporting presentations.
iPhone Duo Support Added
Though not mentioned in the release notes, the updates also add iPhone Duo support to all three apps. This extends the apps’ reach to Apple’s newest device category.
Pricing and Availability
Keynote, Numbers, and Pages are free apps, but they have extra capabilities available with a Creator Studio subscription. Creator Studio is priced at $12.99 per month, and it works across all of Apple’s creator apps.
The iWork Intelligent Assistant is currently in beta for Apple Creator Studio subscribers. Users who rely on the free versions of the apps will still receive the bug fixes and performance improvements included in this update.
What This Means for Users
The iWork Intelligent Assistant signals Apple’s push to bring AI assistance into everyday productivity work. For subscribers, it adds a layer of drafting, editing, and data help across documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. For everyone else, the apps remain free with the standard improvements that arrive with each release.
