Job Title: Graduate Digital Multi-Media & Graphic Design Intern

Location: Nairobi office

The successful intern will share their expertise and learn within the Regional CPE team. The role will involve supporting National Offices and the Regional Office with various communication needs for projects in East Africa.

Key Responsibilities

The successful Graduate Digital Multi-Media & Graphic Design Intern will be responsible for supporting a range of communication and design activities.

Major responsibilities include:

• Strengthening the brand identity of World Vision.
• Developing communication products, including digital media, reports, publication, flyers and posters.
• Developing, executing and reporting on social media engagement plans/calendar.
• Creating concepts and ideas to visually communicate the organisation’s brand and goals.
• Partnering with the regional communications team to design concepts for campaigns, events and other special projects.
• Engaging in internal communications activities for broad exposure to the organisation.

The role combines digital media, graphic design, communication and social media responsibilities. Applicants should therefore be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge, skills and experience in these areas.

Requirements and Eligibility

To qualify for this World Vision Internship, applicants should meet the stated knowledge, skills and experience requirements.

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor’s in communications, Journalism, Media, Graphic design or Marketing.
• Experience/demonstrated ability in using social media and tracking analytics.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience/demonstrated ability in using graphic design software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience in production and video editing.
• Experience/demonstrated ability in multimedia, marketing, desktop design, journalism, media and/or communication industry.
• A sharp sense of graphic design and digital media trends.
• Excellent analytical skills to translate complex ideas into aesthetically pleasing, understandable, attention-grabbing information.
• Excellent written and communications skills in English.

Applicants must also have graduated within the last 2 years.
