Initially, it was expected that Samsung would start rolling out One UI 7 on April 10, as the company had announced. However, it appears that the information pages for the US One UI 7 rollout are no longer available, and there is currently no confirmed date for the rollout of this update in the United States.
One UI 7 has been nothing short of a roller coaster, and at this point, most want it to end. Over the last week, Samsung confirmed that One UI 7 would begin rolling out to a ton of devices globally, and users in the US were told that April 10 would be the day in question. The rollout would start a few days earlier in South Korea and work its way across the globe. It seems like that’s still happening, but there are some new questions surrounding release in the States.
According to a find from SamMobile, Samsung’s US website has been stripped of most references to One UI 7 — especially ones that indicate a release date. Where the original information page stood is now a “404” error and Samsung seems to have taken it down, or at least hidden it for now. The press releases that announced release dates in the US are also inaccessible.
This only applies to one region, and other markets like South Korea, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Malaysia, Singapore, Belgium, and the Netherlands still seem to be on track for their respective release dates.
While it might be easy to fall down the “doom and gloom” rabbit hole, there isn’t much to glean without more information. Yes, US release dates are missing, but Samsung still advertises that One UI 7 is coming in April on the US website via the ad carousel. Clicking the card on Samsung’s website will simply redirect the user back to the homepage.
That may indicate that April 10 is no longer the actual date, and Samsung may have to extend that to the end of the month. Now, if all regions were to experience the same information blackout, then it’d be cause for Concerns.
